The Gift of Wisdom: A Christmas Week Reflection from Sage Connections

As the year winds gently toward its close and the lights of the season glow a little warmer, I find myself reflecting on one of the many gifts we exchange as humans: the gift of wisdom.

At Sage Connections, wisdom isn’t something handed down from a place on high. It’s shared. It’s discovered. It’s co‑created. Every mentor learns from their mentee; every mentee teaches in return. Every conversation, every collaboration, every challenge carries a lesson if we’re willing to listen. And this year, my first official year building Sage Connections, I’ve been listening closely.

The insights that shaped this business didn’t appear overnight. They were gathered over years of work, leadership, missteps, breakthroughs, lessons and the generous guidance of people who showed up at just the right moments. People who set examples that I didn’t want to let down over the years. Those lessons became the foundation of Sage Connections, and they continue to guide how I show up for clients, partners, and peers.

This holiday season, I’m especially grateful for the people who believed in this vision from the beginning: my founding clients, who trusted me with their teams and their stories; and the many peers, relationships built across the years who offered feedback, encouragement, and the kind of honest perspective that only true colleagues and friends can give. Your support has been a steady light.

As I look ahead, I’m energized by the ongoing exchange of knowledge: giving it, receiving it, refining it. Sage Connections was built on the belief that we are all better when we learn together, when knowledge is shared and that belief feels more true than ever, today. Wishing each of you the happiest of holidays. May your season be full of light, warmth, rest, and renewal, and may all your connections in the year ahead, be Sage.

Sincerely,

Katy Moses
